thank you very much for the printed greetings, I was glad to hear from You. I was lucky again, the “nazis” did not get hold of me.
I add my speech of the P. E. N. congress and an open letter to Goebbels, which will be published in the brown book, where you, I believe, also collaborate.

For the present I remain at Dubrovnik to finish my new autobiographic book “Eine Jugend in Deutschland”.
I shall send you the book immediately after its publication.
Probably it will be printed by a Dutch edition. I already had contract with a Swiss edition, but the Nazis threatened, they would boycott the edition’s whole other production, if one of my books would be published.
